Fundraising Events to Support Leyland Chorley Taekwondo Students

Three of our very talented young students from Leyland Chorley Taekwondo have qualified to represent England in the WKC World Championships in Portugal. The event will be taking place in October 2017 in Albufeira.

WKC is the World Karate and Kickboxing Council.

Adam Haworth, Mikey Thornley and Izzy Spear all competed in the WKC British Open in February this year. Mikey and Izzy gained gold medals in the team event and Adam gained a silver in the individual event.

As you can appreciate, there are cost involved with a trip like this and as a result, we are holding a fundraising event to support this.

On Friday the 28th of July Kate German, Stuart Thornley, James Carr, Craig Spear and Adam Haworth are doing a one-day static cycle at Leyland Leisure Centre. This is expected to start around 9am until 4pm.

Some of you may remember that we originally intended to do a 3-day Kayak along the Leeds/Liverpool Canal. Unfortunately we had to cancel this as we did not raise enough money and would have ended up costing us more than we raised to do this. Naturally we were disappointed with this and we send our apologies to those who did sponsor us for the Kayak. However, we are still determined to raise some money to support our talented young students and so this is why we are doing the static cycle.

To find out more or to sponsor us, please follow this link: Fundraising

Whatever happens, please join us in wishing these young students the very best of luck when they represent England.
